In the past, trying to have my art reproduced usually resulted in a shortened lifespan and massive hair loss for the printer. My colors were almost impossible to reproduce because I use such subtle glazes in my paintings. With this new technology the printer can achieve a true reproduction of my original in any size from 1" (for those with very small rooms) to 46", printed on the same archival watercolor paper I use for my original painting. The new inks used in Giclee printing have the same longevity as the watercolor paints I use in my paintings.
This highest quality printing is made affordable for a collector because each limited edition print is printed on demand.
I have done extensive research to find the finest Giclee printer. I wanted someone who had a great eye for color, who shared my desire to produce the perfect print, and someone who had infinite patience (color proofing can be very time consuming). I found a printer in NYC who creates prints for NYC museums that are perfect reproductions of the masters. The prints he produces for me are indistinguishable from my original paintings. The sense of humor was a bonus.
Among the many museums with Iris prints in their collections are: The British Museum, The Metropolitan Museum New York, Los Angeles County Museum, Museum of Modern Art New York, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Welcome to my site!
The subject matter of my watercolor paintings ranges from tropical palm trees, florals to still life of fruit and landscape.
My watercolor paintings are reproduced using a pigment printing process because it accurately duplicates the luminous quality of my watercolor washes. The longevity of the inks is the same as that of my watercolor paints.
My limited edition prints are printed on a heavyweight archival watercolor paper. The inks used are archival pigmented inks. Each print is signed and numbered.
Greg Ortega produces my pigment watercolor prints. He is a maestro of color. His company Gamma One prints the highest quality prints for museums and individuals. I've worked with Greg for many years and his ability to reproduce the colors in my watercolor paintings is phenomenal!
